The character you create feels like a median stranger, not something familiar but at the same time not unfamiliar. It's existence feels true, but you can't explain it. You spend much more time creating your character than usual. It feels more interesting, not so many of the decisions feel automated. When you finish, you feel genuinely happy with what you've made. Must be a coincidence.
