Hypertext narrative checklist:
I used 14 pages in total for this project, including the index or landing page which serves as a title screen. There are 13 pages which have actual story/interaction in them. I used Char NG for the phrase “So what does this mean?” I copied this from a question my mom asked me from a transcription of the phone call from when I came out to my parents. The Markov Generator, N+7, and Otter.ai I used all in tandem, to create the weird distorted version of the skyrim intro dialogue. I used otter.ai to read the script, then put that into n+7, then put that into Markov and got the weirdest possible combo. I took some snippets from the dialogue and kept their original forms as they are more important to the story, but I wanted the rest to be unreadable, to evoke the idea that it is something you wouldn’t listen to after playing the game so many times. I also used otter as a way to take some brief notes while making the story. I used the anagram generator as a way to come up with the phrase “median stranger,” an anagram for “I am transgender.” while the phrase doesn’t make complete sense grammatically, I still find the reference important here.I used botnik to come up with my game’s title. I used the Percy Bysshe Shelly voice to make the name A Dream To Meet Her. Last but not least, these were the oblique strategies cards I used. They encouraged me to really push my project, but then reign it back in at the end. Be less critical more often, Go to an extreme; move back to a more comfortable place; Disciplined self-indulgence
